Generation of Computer ( कम्प्युटरको पुस्ताहरु)
Generation of Computer Computer are often classified by the generation in which they were developed. Each generation of computers is characterized by major technological developments and improvements. 1. First Generation (1940-1956) The first computer was large, expansive and difficult to use. They used Vacuum tubes to store and process data and were programmed using machine language which is a series of binary (one and zeros) that the computer could understand. 2. Second Generation (1957-1963) The second generation of computers introduced the use of transistors which were smaller and more reliable than vacuum tubes. These computers were also programmed using machine language but they faster and more efficiency than first generation computers. 3.Third Generation (1964-1971) The third generation of computers introduced the use of integrated circuits which made them even smaller and more powerful. They could also be programmed using higher-level languages such as FORTRAN and C...
